Lori Drew convicted on misdemeanor charges, acquitted on felony charges

Lori Drew, the mother charged with creating a fake MySpace and driving her daughter's friend to suicide has been acquitted by a jury on the main charges of conspiracy, but found guilty on misdemeanor charges.

The judge in her trial has declared a mistrial on the conspiracy charge, so she may face trial again. An interesting twist in a twisted saga.

It's rather bizarre to even think of a case like this in any court. Not that I'm suggesting that it shoudn't be ruled upon; just that it's almost a surreal case to observe.

I wonder if the judge presiding is going to be thinking of this case in the years to come?

I bet a nickel that the judge had to ask his/her grandkids what the hell MySpace is.

I'll take that bet and raise you ten.

Facebook is totally the new technology, man. Myspace is old hat.
